A Treatise on Natural Truth: Organic Truth Perspective III
Organic Truth Perspective III. Male Human Persons and Female Human Persons exist in natural equality to one another.
Male Human Persons were not "created" first. They did not "evolve out of the slime" first. There was never a world where only men, or only a single human man, existed. From the dawn of human time, males and females have existed. One was not created from the other. They were shaped and evolved by natural (I would say sacred) processes which still exist, and they were shaped and evolved together.
There is no doubt that human males and human females evidence physical differences, structural differences, and mental differences. There is also no doubt that they evidence many similarities. Speaking to the differences, it is clear that certain roles are made possible to one or the other by virtue of their morphology. These roles, and the activities that exist alongside them, are expressions of the way nature shaped human beings, and how humans have adapted to intelligently participate in the process.
Structure never implies necessity, only possibility and utility. The fact that a woman alone can be a "mother" does not qualify as a criteria for which she should be expected to become a mother. The survival of the human species depends on mothers shaping within themselves and birthing more humans; this much is certain. It is likewise certain that many women will feel a natural desire to have children at some point in their lives, just as many men will. These are the predictable outcomes of natural processes which have, as their goal, the continuity of DNA, of human beings, the shaping and formation of new beings.
Ancient human societies naturally controlled their population size (and had it controlled) dependent on supply of food and space available for living. This is a natural law; non-human animal populations obey it to this day. Natural boundaries exist within nature that limit the size of populations by limiting their range and supply of food. Cultural boundaries in ancient human societies had a similar impact on human groups.
The wanton destruction of natural boundaries, the slaughter of other beings (especially predators), the creation of massive food supply through unrestrained agriculture paired with imperialistic land-seizing, and other factors- all factors driven by the human idea that they are "above" nature and lord of its domains and creatures, and if needs be, other humans- have created a world wherein human beings have reached population numbers that are nothing short of dangerous to the survival of everyone, and the world's resources and larger ecosystem. The ultimate distortion of truth about human beings may well destroy everyone, eventually.
Women may have bodies that are naturally capable of producing children, but the natural necessity that they do so- as was felt in times past when humans were very few- is no longer. Women, like men, are not just organic machines; they are persons with personal will and an urge to power and self-determinism. The personal imagination, mind, and will would not have been conditioned into human beings unless it served a crucial function, deserving of expression.
To ignore those aspects of a person and repress them or place them as "evil" or "irrelevant" or "less important" when compared to the biological functions of that person's body, is absurd. It is a function of lower thinking, of mechanical thinking, of truly "inhuman" thinking.
Most women, when compared with men in populations worldwide, are structurally smaller and slighter. Men's natural strength and size does not qualify as a criteria for which he should be elevated to the ontological status of master or lord of women, or even of other men. The male human's role in competition with other men or humans is not to force them to extinction nor to "master" them as ruler; the lion in the field does not drive the hyena extinct, nor consider itself their king; (the term "king of the beasts" is a human appellation to lions, based on distorted human views of these powerful competitors). The natural laws of competition do not include these sorts of maneuvers, which would unsettle the entire system. Women who also must engage in competition are bound by a similar law.
The male human person's size is the outcome of natural processes that better enabled him to protect himself and other members of his social group, to compete better, and to obtain resources better. The male human person's natural advantages appear to be geared towards the benefit of his social group. Enslaving members of their social grouping and inhibiting the non-harmful and organic emergence of the imaginative, willful, or self-deterministic aspects of others, is a distortion of man's natural purpose.
Within the human world, men exist that feel sexual attraction for other men, or for both women and men, and women exist that feel sexual attraction for other women, or for both women and men. That such a reality exists- and has always existed within human cultures- is incontrovertible. That so-called homosexuals exist is not due to a flaw in nature's programming; it is not due to "sin", nor are the feelings of attraction for members of the same sex a matter of pure conscious, willful choice on the parts of truly homosexual people.
Natural processes have shaped human beings to express homosexual tendencies and conditions, in the same manner that natural processes shaped "heterosexual" tendencies and conditions. One is not a deviation from the other; they exist side-by-side in all human groups, and in many non-human living groups that have been studied. The ways in which homosexual people express sexual love and pleasure when with a romantic partner is not an "abomination" compared to what heterosexuals do to express love and pleasure. There is no moral difference.
Homosexuals are not a threat to populations or population maintenance; they have existed in tiny numbers compared to heterosexual populations, throughout time, and barring some change in natural processes that we have not yet seen, will remain a minority grouping. The hatred of some ancient, small societies for homosexuals, such as ancient Hebrew society, stemmed from their distorted views, and from fear- fear that motivated them to give religious and legal sanction to the single-minded expansion of their own population, the better to compete with hostile other cultures that surrounded them.
That the ancient Hebrews (a historical culture whose values have been largely spread in many ways to so many others) took these cultural stands does not endow them with some greater "truth" than others. Many other ancient human populations were surrounded by others considered "hostile", and yet did not mandate death penalties for population members who refused to procreate or marry and procreate.
Male and Female Human Persons do not exist in a natural "vertical" hierarchy with one "above" or the other "below"; both are required for the perpetuation of humankind; both are required for ecological balance; both are crucial to the well-being of the other, in countless ways. Mythologies or religions that suggest that males (or females) are, by divine mandate, superior to the other sex, or that one was "created" before the other, or which blame the "sinful" condition of the world on an ancient "sin" perpetrated by one or the other, are fundamental distortions of the truth about men and women.
