............

The Craft has assumed many forms in its long existence,
From its inception in the animistic experience of many historical
Peoples, to its various revivals among modern people.

Though they have never been fully trusted or accepted, the hidden Arts,
In dozens of cultural forms, have always brought about change and
Left open a strong door to personal insight, power-acquisition, and
Wisdom.

On this page you will find many insights into what Northern European.......
Witchcraft was, along with some visions of what it has become.

The true Craft is not about social or political correctness, nor rectitude
With any "god" or "gods"- It is about merging With the unseen world
And interacting with the Spiritual Powers found there, for the good
(or ill) of the Witch or others.

The wisest witches come to discover a secret, however: interacting
With the timeless Powers in the Unseen world leads to a bond of
Familiarity with the most wise and ancient Beings that our ancestors
Also knew and rightly called "Gods".

This is "religion" in the best and purest sense of the word.

“A gentleman who carries Light, white and gold;
The tree-shadows lengthen; His glory is grand!
The Lord of the array, with gold and brass.....
With plates and bells, and horns a-marvel;
Keeper of the ways in hidden rows,
The horses’ tracks,
His gathering resounds and echoes joyful;
His star rises and shines, His hooves are hard,
And radiant His tines, His head of fire.”

-Meadowsweet's Red Chaplet
