Modern day adherents of the Asatru religion- the reconstructed and revived religion of the pre-Christian peoples of Northern Europe- have many traditional sources to which they may turn to find answers to the oldest questions: "What is the right way to live?" "What is the path to a good and noble life?" Following the examples recorded in Havamal, in the Sagas and Eddas, and taking the tone of the Heathen Stoics and the author of the well-known "Desiderata", a modern day Heathen Seidman gives a short, poetic expression of the basics of the Heathen worldview, and a time-honored code through which anyone can find a complete life.
The world did not come from the hands or mind of a creator, but from the unfolding of a great natural process which still governs the shape of things today.
