Welcome to the Online Libretto of "The Bitter Bough", A Musical about Tragic Love, Diabolism, and lots of other things that make life worth living.
"The Bitter Bough" is based on a poem which was written by Robin Artisson, in February of 2001. He wrote it under the pen-name of Julius Castrocari, and older versions of it can at times still be found under that name.
This rendition of that poem, concieved as a musical play with seven acts, was written and arranged in December of 2003, with the Libretto being finished on December 21st. It is Robin Artisson's first attempt at a piece designed for Musical Theatre.
