The use of the term "Hindoo" and "Sodomite" is NOT an attack on people from Hindu cultural backgrounds, nor is the term "Sodomite" meant to do anything other than point out how silly earlier century conservative language was.
Also, the fictional "witches" and "heathens" presented in the play are not meant to refer to modern day practicioners of any "wicca" or "pagan" religion; Modern day witches (and probably most of the people historically accused of being "witches") are not "Satanists"; they are harmless people, who would prefer to follow their own hearts rather than accept mainstream, dogmatic and organized religious ideals. That is their choice, and we respect it. THIS is a work of FICTION. It is a play that is intended to be partly tongue-in-cheek, and not an attack on anyone, living or dead.
